Saturday, January 17, 2009 Took 1 full day of leave today to do things which I want to do before Chinese New Year arrives. Woke up at 9am to prepare and meet up with Hui Khim at Ang Mo Kio MRT Station to go Chinatown. Main purpose of going down to Chinatown is to redeem my lucky draw prize - Capital Lang Shopping vouchers. Sub-purpose is to shop around Chinatown New Year Fair and 沾沾新年气息. *wInKz* It's been really long eversince I last stepped into Chinatown in festive season. I remembered the last time I went there during festive season was about 12 years old or 13 years old together with my parents. Almost 10 over years ago nehz. The feeling of visiting Chinatown today is really different. Different from it's usual operations ( Non-festive Season ) and very different from how I used to feel when I was a little girl and now. The feeling is just so so so different nehz. *mIsSiNg tHe GoOd oLd DaYs* After a quick shopping at Chinatown and buying a few things, we headed to Ang Mo Kio Block 353 for our hair cut. Dye and cut our hair and somehow changed a new look. Haas... New year, new look mahz. *LoLx* It's not a salon nehz. It's at somebody's else house. The feeling of cutting hair at other people's houses and at a hair salon is different. Not much of a different... Just a tiny weeny bit. Hmmm... The effect of what you get at both places is almost the same. Guess the only difference is that you don't have to wait that long for some hairstylist to serve you because you had previously called to fix an appointment and had reserved that few hours to yourself and she serves only you and no one else. Good huhs? And another difference is that cutting hair at a salon could be quite pricey due to the arrival of Chinese New Year. But when it's at other people's house, they need to pay any rental fees and high electricity bills. They tend to charge you at a much cheaper price at a fixed rate. Guess those are the only differences.    Oh... Just a little information... Haas... My hair are still straight. The photos is taken with temporary curls. (^_^) After our hair cut, rushed home to prepare our stuffs which we are bringing along to Hui Khim's chalet. Her 21st birthday celebration is held at Downtown East Chalet tomorrow. Thus decided to help her out. Checked in chalet at around 7pm++ almost 8pm and then had our dinner at E-Hub and went NTUC to buy the necessary items for her party tomorrow. Took a trolley full of items and them return back to the chalet for our rest of the day. Finally!~ After a long day, we are able to rest well and just the 2 of us nehz. (^_~)  9:51 AM |
